Why it exists

Sotogrande is a small, high-value market that is written about almost entirely by people with something to sell in it. Ask what a property costs per square metre in La Reserva against Sotogrande Alto and you will get an adjective, not a number. We had the data already — we read the whole market every night — so we decided to publish it.

What we are not

We are not an estate agency. We do not list property, hold client money, negotiate, or represent either side of a transaction. If you want an introduction to someone who can act for you we will make one, and we will tell you when we do.

Independence

We are connected to businesses that operate in this market. Their listings are excluded from every figure we publish — see the methodology. No agency pays to appear here, because no agency appears here: we publish areas, not agents.

Using our figures

We do not sell property. What we can do is tell you which firms genuinely work in the part of the market you are looking at — because we measure their books every night — and introduce you to one of them. Not a shortlist of everybody. One or two names, and the reason we chose them.
